NEW BUILDS & EXTENSIONS

KEY FEATURES

Minimal muck away

There is little excavation to prepare for the screw piles to be installed, especially compared to traditional foundations.

Minimal delays

Minimal delays with instant torque and no time wasted waiting for materials to dry.

Less impact

Can be used near trees and other types of foundations as there is less impact on the surrounding area.

Commonly used on Eco-Friendly projects, screw piles are becoming increasingly popular on new builds, extensions and free-standing garden rooms to save time and create less impact on the environment than traditional foundations. They are the perfect in situations where building close to tree roots is required for projects such as balcony supports and other foundations.

Their ability to reach down to stable geological strata means that screw piles can be used on sites with a wide variety of soil characteristics, including those found in areas of water and clay soil conditions.

By screwing the piles deep into suitable soil or bedrock, foundations are capable of withstanding large compression and shear forces. They can be installed quickly with minimal noise and disruption, even on small build sites.

Once the piles are in place a concrete beam or slab can be bonded to the top of the screw piles, providing the perfect foundation upon which to build.

Labour costs and overall length of projects can usually be reduced with this type of foundation.
